Thailand Day 4

We took a very fun excursion this day and were very entertained. We first were taken to a monkey show where they showed us some ticks that one particular monkey could do, one being riding a trike. We were then brought to another area where we watched and participated in the snake show. It was so crazy what the trainer would do with the snakes. We were then brought to a 30 minute elephant ride where we started out riding in a seat strapped to the elephant's back and then about half way through the boys were allowed to ride on the elephant's neck. The Boys were thrilled. Isaiah pulled a leaf off of a tree and put it in front of our elephants eyes to get it to go a little faster. But the experience still wasn't over. We were then led out to the ATV's and rode around for a bit on some of the same jungle trials that we took the elephant ride on. The boys loved it especially when it started to downpour. It just made the mud fly and bigger puddles to splash in. We then were taken to a "fish spa" where the fish eat the gross skin off of your feet. We have tried this in Korea, but the fish were a bit bigger here. They loved
Braxton's feet.

Thailand Day 3

We had a brand new adventure in Phuket again. We arrived at Phang Nga Bay where we were loaded onto a long boat and taken around to different islands in the area to enjoy different types of activities. What a beautiful place that we're enjoying here.






We were taken to Tum Tulu to have a guide take us to some caves by way of sea kayak. Very beautiful to say the least.








We were taken to James Bond Island where the 1974 Golden Gun was filmed. Pretty cool! We could hear bats in the caves and the boys had a great time exploring the many different areas of the cave. Beautiful!




We stopped at a floating fisherman's village "Koh Pan-yi" to eat lunch. It is built right along the side of an island. It was fabulous. The served quite a lot of varieties of food. All quite delicious including the squid and octopus. One dish was too spicy for us to try more than one bite. We even tried the fried chicken that looked to be very spicy (red stuff all over it), but surprisingly not at all. Good stuff! We were then allowed to walk around inside the village. There are quite a places to eat, buy clothing and jewelry. Very neat to see.



The last stop of our trip was to what they call here "Monkey Cave" Suwankuha Temple. Here there were monkeys all over the place. Fun to be able to be this up close and personal with the monkeys. Inside the temple were shrines and a monk watching everything going on. There were so many bats that we saw and heard in the caves. What a great day!

Thailand Day 2

It has been rainy here, but it hasn't stopped us from having any fun. We decided to see if there was any way that we could get out snorkeling with the boys. They had a children's adventure where there are perfect places for kids to snorkel. The area out in the ocean named Khai Nui was too choppy for the kids to get into, so we skipped that area and took the kids to Khai Nok. The area was perfect. The shallow waters were knee height and until Isaiah got comfortable enough to venture out he could bend his knees and look into the water. Braxton loved to be out in the deep area where the fish would just swim right up to his mask. Isaiah finally became comfortable and went out into the deep area and was even more comfortable when he was holding onto someones hand. Great day!

Thailand Day 1

Let's just say that we love our hotel. It is so out of the way from the downtown hustle and bustle. They have a pool on the roof with amazing views of the ocean about a ten minute walk from where were are at. It has been very humid here, but not too hot. It does affect the picture quality. We are basically in a tropical jungle area. Super fun! Phuket was hit with the tsunami a few years back, but our hotel was not affected in any way other than just opening the day before the tsunami happened and has been struggling financially because tourism here hasn't come back up to it's fullest again.
Our room and the restaurant both have amazing views. After our long flight we decided to all take a long nap. Afterwords the boys went to the pool and sent me to the spa here for a 3.5 hour massage. Nice! I could get used to that very quickly!

Cub Scout Camp Korea

Wednesday through Friday Braxton and I went to his Cub Scout Day Camp near Seoul Korea by Camp Humphreys. This first picture is Braxton showing his skills at the archery range.























Then at the BB gun range he demonstrates his sniper skills. So you better watch out!











Finally Braxton demonstrates his dance moves, as Pack 81 performs for the rest of the Far East Council scouts.

This week's dates!

This week Isaiah and I were able to have mommy and son time while Brandon and Braxton were out to scout camp. We had a blast! Isaiah was a wonderful date. He was such a good kid and it made it very fun to be able to take him out. He took me to get my hair done and clothing shopping on our first day out. He didn't complain and even got a treat and to the library for a few books to read and a few videos because he was so good. He even got to help the hairstylist blow dry my hair which he loves to do anyway. Day two we went took the subway downtown picked up a craft to work on, saw Madagascar 3 in English (Yay!), went out to eat at Isaiah's favorite restaurant Pasta Buono, and to top it all off to McDs for an ice cream cone. The last day of our dates we spent up in Ap'san Mountain. We took the cable car to the top and back to see Daegu city in it's entirety. It has been getting hot, hot, hot here and the humidity is pretty unbearable, so we had a quick picnic and started to head home when we found some school children having a field trip and looking for things in the water. So yes, we just had to find out what was going on and because Isaiah is still pretty cute to the Koreans and he is American he was allowed to join in the fun. The kids were floating boats that they had made from bamboo leaves and finding little critters in the water. They kept trying to tell us what each thing was but we still weren't able to find out what they were from lack of understanding. But we saw leach type things, tadpoles and crawfish which they called lobsters. But what a fun day it was. He and I had some great bonding and that was the important thing. Sorry about a lot of the pictures. I had borrowed Braxton's camera because Brandon had mine camping and some of the pictures came out sideways.

Took the picture too late the noodles come out looking like a volcano. Yum!
